Fluoride is removed by ion exchange between hydroxyl groups and fluoride ions as well as surface physical adsorption. Beneficial minerals in water are preserved. The media can be regenerated repeatedly with sodium hydroxide solution. With high mechanical strength, it hardly breaks during backwashing and lasts 2 to 5 years. It is suitable for groundwater, drinking water and low-concentration fluoride-containing industrial wastewater with low operation costs.
NF-1 DEFLUORIDATION FILTER MEDIA
NF-1 DEFLUORIDATION FILTER MEDIA
NF-1 Fluoride Removal Filter Media is a kind of hydroxyapatite filter medium. This white granular filter material features high adsorption capacity and excellent fluoride removal efficiency. It can retain beneficial minerals in water without altering water composition or the taste of treated water. NF-1 boasts favorable regenerability with simple and cost-effective desorption procedures, leading to an ultra-low comprehensive operating cost.

Fluoride removal is realized via ion exchange between hydroxyl groups on media and fluoride ions in water. Saturated media can be regenerated by soaking in 7–8% NaOH solution. Optimal working pH: 6–6.5. Pre-treat influent to remove suspended solids. Store in cool shaded environment at 5–40℃, shelf life 2 years.
